I
have worked on a lot of projects and they were rarely my own. I guess
that's because there usually isn't much money involved in my own work,
so the motivation is lacking. But after helping others by illustrating
comics, children's books and miscellaneous character ideas, I was
spurred on to work on a story that I, myself, would write. Granted
my writing and organizational skills are that of an inexperenced literary
worker, I hope to bring it to life with my artwork without compromising
the structure of the story. I want it to read well AND look great.
I am a Christian artist and though the story is fictional, I wanted
to fuse a little biblical Truth into it and hopefully encourage others
without being too preachy. It's a story I hope to shape into something
that people will enjoy reading, whether they love God's word or not.
I chose to work in black and white at first and thought that a nuetral
sepia tint might add some character to the archaic/steamengine period
setting. I welcome comments, so send me a line at tibke@cox.net if
you would like. You can also check out my online portfolio at www.bc-studios.org
